I like Spitzer. He’s smart. Oh God it’s such a pleasure to see someone with intelligence and integrity rising in power. Sigh. Good times. Democrats all over the place. I feel a little safer today. More democrats everywhere. The first female Speaker. Progress! Thank you, America.
Come on Virginia and Montana! You can do it! Bring us home.
Then let’s turn our attention to Barack Obama. My future president.
Update: YAY!! Thank you, Montana!!

it was such great fun to wake up to good election result news after so many years of wandering in the jaw clenching wilderness…after the last presidential result I was afraid to hope or expect anything but more disappointment; the media commentary was delicious
Yeah. I had the TV on all day on Wednesday, just luxuriating in it. I should have gone out to the streets. I will never forget the first presidential election Clinton won. I had a new business, and here was a president and vice-president who were smart, knew all about the internet, it was so exciting. I was walking home through Washington Square Park and there was a huge crowd of people from the neighborhood and NYU, and they were celebrating. And I stayed with them for an hour or so, luxuriating in the a wonderful feeling of joy and hope.
