Happy Birthday, Day Three

The highlight of day two was being taken out to dinner by my brother Douglas and his fabulous family to Marta. The company of course was the best! And oh God, where do I begin about the restaurant Marta?? Every bite of every dish was delicious. The best pizza in the universe.

I was also given this lovely little rabbit sculpture based on an original sculpture by Edouard Marcel Sandoz. I have to research this and then photograph this incrediblly sweet, precious rabbit. (I have a friend who would die for this.)

This is a shot I took walking home after dinner. It’s the Empire State Building taken through the grounds of the Church of the Transfiguration.

Happy birthday to me!

My first birthday gift: it’s not hot out. I’m planning my day, which will probably involve a nice lunch and a movie, and definitely later tonight the Loser’s Lounge!

Reminder! Radio Chat Tonight!

I’m going to be on the radio tonight! At 10:55 p.m. if you’re up.

I’ll be talking about my book, Unbelievable: Investigations into Ghosts, Poltergeists, Telepathy, and Other Unseen Phenomena from the Duke Parapsychology Laboratory. You can listen here and also chat with other guests. To call in and ask questions the number is: (786) 245-8127.

Graffiti I saw and liked on my walk the other day. Although I’ve noticed young people have gotten good at using their peripheral vision. I think they’re going to walk into me but they go around, without ever looking up. I also like that face at the top of the picture.
