I Love a Renovation

As I’ve posted before, I watch many of the home renovation shows, I’m addicted to them. So it’s fun getting a peak at renovations in my own city, as I go about my life. I’ve been passing this one by on my way to work in the morning.

I love a curved stair case! I hope they keep it. Oh why oh why didn’t I pursue money with the same vigor I pursued my research/story telling obsessions?? If I could only have one I chose the right path, but maybe I could have had both!

Bodhi at the ASPCA Hospital

The two cats I adopted from the ASPCA Nursery have always had delicate health. Bodhi woke up feeling particularly unwell on Friday so I took him with me to work to get checked out. Poor guy is fighting an infection of some sort.

He kept pawing at the window of his kennel. “Let me out!!” You try to resist that face. He lived his first few weeks in a kennel like this though, before I took him and his brother home, so he was able to sleep and relax eventually. He’d stretch and make biscuits whenever I came to visit.

I Love People

Mostly. I posted this, retweeted it, and now I’m putting it here. Because the descriptions of kittens in the last line is the best I’ve ever heard. Thank you, Liberty Hardy.

I’m not the only one who eats the same thing every day!

Every day I have an extremely healthy salad for lunch (I fill it with greens, broccoli, carrots, tofu, etc.) and at night I have a small size Amy’s frozen pizza. It rarely changes.

When I tell friends they look at me like “what a sad, unimaginative, losing-out-on-the-good-life” friend we have. Turns out, I’m not the only one.

I would also spend all my time researching and writing books, if I could. And watching television and going to the movies. And the Losers Lounge. And choir. And reading in the park or on the couch. The occasional museum visit. Okay, how I spend my time is a little more varied than my eating habits, but not by much.
