My Camera Comes Back Today!

Oh G9.  I’ve missed you so.  I’m afraid I’m going to miss the delivery though. I’m going to be in and out a bit today.  Well, nothing I can do but hope for the best.

Other nice things that sometimes come through the door …

My Camera is on it’s way back home to me!!

“We are pleased to confirm that the service you requested on your POWER SHOT G9 has been completed and your equipment has been shipped to you on 07-APR-09.”

Woohoo!!

I didn’t upgrade and had them repair my camera instead.  It’s not cheap, but what choice did I have?  I’ve been miserable without my camera.  I always felt like I was missing the shot of my dreams.

Hurry camera, hurry!

American Idol Round-Up

I’m still not sold on Adam, he never seems real to me, he always comes off like a kid playing dress-up. It’s been said before about him, but I really do feel like I’m watching a play and he’s an actor playing an singer and not a singer, even though he can really sing.

But that was a really great rendition of Mad World last night. Great doesn’t cover it. It was perfection. (Except that last note which he recovered.)

I’m amazed at how much Kris is growing on me. He’s not the best singer, but he’s good and he has presence. A quieter presence. I really enjoy watching him, and listening to him. I would enjoy him more if he was singing better songs. And that really was the worst song choice of all time last night. I really question his judgement. Paula said it, there was like two notes in the whole piece. But he’s adorable. And smoldering.

My favorites are him and Allison and Danny and now Adam with reservations. Lil has the best make-over.

Thank you!! And the Soundtrack for Heaven

I was so excited to see new reviews for my book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble this morning. Thank you!!  I really appreciate it!!  You guys are the best!!

This picture is of Sir John Tavener, a British composer I love.  The Rubin Museum is premiering a new work of his on April 23rd and I’m trying to decide if I can afford it.  Information and tickets are available here. It’s stupid.  It’s a wonderful opportunity.  I should just go. Here’s what a critic said of his music.

“If you had to pick the soundtrack for heaven, the music of Sir John Tavener would probably feature prominently.” — Aidan Goldstraw, Express and Star.

He’s also known for a piece that was sung at Princess Diana’s funeral called Song for Athene.  And he did music for the movie Children of Men.

It’s $95 for priority seating and a discussion beforehand with the composer, or $40 for the concert only.  Damnit.  What to do, what to do??

Groveling

Forgive me, but if you’ve read my book and if you like it, please go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble and post a review. There’s only one (thank you Teresa).

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

A million times, thank you.

(I hate to ask.)

(But it’s murder out there people.)

I’m going to go crawl under the covers and hide now.

With a cat or two.

That reminds me, there’s like four new tv shows premiering this week that look good.
