Here is a picture of Grace Church, taken in 1899, and from a few blocks down on Broadway. (Grace Church is at 10th Street and Broadway.)

I tried to take the same shot, but when I went as far downtown Grace Church was too teeny to see. It must have something to do with the lens I was using. So this is a compromise.

If you think you can hear me you’re probably wrong because knowing I was the closest to the camera I sang very quietly. But I can hear me once or twice I think and I was FLAT. Very embarrassing. I will have to think twice before criticizing sopranos around me who go flat.

Should be fun. I am a little concerned about Buddy. It’s been a month since he was at the vet and I’ve been trying various things to address his IBS and he’s been eating well, and has had a touch of diarrhea here and there but not bad or for long, but he hasn’t gained a single ounce. Not one. This is not good.

I photographed these kids sitting in the window across the street from the NBC studios, and right down from the Rockefeller Center tree. Cute kids, aren’t they?

This is an “I love people” shot for me. The Flat Iron building is right behind this girl, so they’re making it look like she’s squeezing the building between her hands. I thought they looked cute.

I’m walking home and I see a small group of Santas on the street.  Could it be??? They ask me if Washington Square Park is uptown or downtown and I tell them (downtown) but they don’t believe me.

SANTACON!!

I took a bunch of movies, but I messed up the setting so not one of my movies came out.

I’ve cried and cried, but now I’m ready to move on and just go with the stills.

See this group? I adopted every one of them. Meet my new children.

Since I’d taken a bunch of movies I didn’t really try to get a shot of the whole crowd, so I’m disappointed that none of these capture just how many Santas were there. Or all the singing and the dancing and the joy.

There were Santas all over the place, going on and on and out of the frames of these shots. A great big park full of happy Santas.
