I have to write a chapter a month, so I must finish the chapter I’m currently working on … NOW. Except I can’t, technically. I have one interview to go and that isn’t taking place until tomorrow. But I can still finish everything else except that one part.
It’s bugging me that I cut off the top of that tree on the left. Now it’s bugging you, isn’t it?
Nope, doesn’t bother me. I generally crop things like that on my pictures.
I’m OK with it, too. Doesn’t bug me at all.
I’ve often heard that some of the people who sell Christmas trees on street corners in New York are people from Quebec who go down there and sleep in their cars (or maybe trailers?) for the duration of the Christmas season. And make a bucket load of money while they’re at it, perhaps? How much does a tree cost in Manhattan these days? Do the trees seem less expensive this year, considering the economy and all? Sorry for all the questions.
There was a whole article about this in the Times last year, outlining all the different people who sold trees on what corner, because a lot of them used to work for each other, some were related. It was absolutely fascinating, and yes, I think some did come down from Canada.
I’ll find out how much the trees cost. A tiny wreath was $30 so I’m thinking the trees much cost a fortune.
