Gramercy Park

A beautiful building near Gramercy Park. About the building to the left, why would someone put up such an ordinary building next to something to lovely??

There are two buildings on the east end of the park that I’ve always wanted to explore. There’s something so magical and romantic about them, I wonder about their history. I could probably just google them and learn everything I want to know. GOD I LOVE THE INTERNET!

  1. I love the polished wooden door and the height differences in the windows as the storeys ascend. And the pumpkins on the balconies. I was going to ask if it really was still residential but then I went to Google street view and don’t see any other evidence of it changing. Lovely. Lucky people.

  2. Lucky people is right! There are lots of lovely buildings in that area and around the park, but I often turn down this street and walk towards that building. I could look at the names on the buzzer to see who lives there, but that would be stalker-ish!
