The highlight of day two was being taken out to dinner by my brother Douglas and his fabulous family to Marta. The company of course was the best! And oh God, where do I begin about the restaurant Marta?? Every bite of every dish was delicious. The best pizza in the universe.
I was also given this lovely little rabbit sculpture based on an original sculpture by Edouard Marcel Sandoz. I have to research this and then photograph this incrediblly sweet, precious rabbit. (I have a friend who would die for this.)
This is a shot I took walking home after dinner. It’s the Empire State Building taken through the grounds of the Church of the Transfiguration.
Nice! I am glad you are celebrating over several days. Maybe you could make a year of it!? Hmm, maybe that’s what I’ll do, the next time I graduate. I’m going to my MA convocation on Friday but the next one will be way special. I could celebrate for a year after, and make a diary of how that goes.
That’s a great idea!! Do it! I’ve decided to make the 4th of July the last day os my birthday. I will end with a bang!
