Finney is still doing very well. The incision seems to be healing nicely, no redness or swelling, and he continues to eat well, and shows no signs of pain or discomfort, except when he goes to lay down. He’s clearly careful about which side he lays down on.
You can see how much they shaved him, and how naked he looks. He’s like a cat with his pants off. That’s a fentanyl patch on his hind leg. The other shaved spots are for iv’s.
That is all good news! I am pleased for both of you.
I find a good de-stressor that requires no equipment nor changing of clothes is to lie flat on one’s back on the floor, limbs splayed out only to where it is comfortable, and then just relax and allow the floor to hold you up. Close your eyes and feel where you are tense and relax those parts (which will be all the parts, I am thinking.) We aren’t always aware that our body is all hunched up to hold up the world or at least all our troubles in the world. Lying flat is wonderful.
YAY FINNEY!
Heal on, kitty, and re-grow those fur pants!
Just caught up with this latest info on Finney. So glad to read that he’s doing well and seems comfortable. Hope you can now find some comfort time for yourself. And I’m going to try Julia’s de-stressor.
That is good news! Thanks for the update!
OMG, that incision looks nasty but Finney’s crushing the R&R — he is one bad hombre. I hope he eats his little heart out and dozes himself stupid in dreamland. Come to think of it, I hope you and the incredible Mr. F do a mind meld into a purr-generated alpha wave stupor. THAT’S what I call r-l-a-x-a-t-i-o-n.
Thank you all so much for following and caring about my cat saga!! Julia, I’m going to try that. I love that feeling of letting a chair or the floor hold you, when I can achieve it.
