My cable bill was higher this month. When I called about it I learned it was going to go up even more next month, and they were not offering to do anything about it! They were completely uninterested in keeping me as a customer. Fine. I’m back to researching cutting the cord. I’m already exhausted after researching this for an hour, and I’m sure they’re counting on people like me giving up. But I’m motivated now. I’m going to take a break and come back to it.
This morning, as usual, I was prisoner to the sleeping cats. Normally I’m okay with this, but this time Bleeck was parked on my computer. I couldn’t work, or watch tv or read on my computer. The book I’m reading (Patient H.M) was way way way over on the coffee table and unreachable. All I could do was just sit here. So, I took pictures of them imprisoning me!
Here’s one reason your bill is going up:

I’m strictly Internet with an Amazon Firestick for the TV along with subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. A surfeit of riches; too many shows to watch. 🙂
I use a rabbit ears for the network stations. In fact here in Podunk Greensboro, I get 26 over the air stations.
That is so very interesting. My TWC bill had gotten out of control so I called a month or so ago and they did give me a new “special” offer and it went down about $40. Then, they said with the merger, there would be all sorts of special deals to look forward to! I have phone, cable and internet so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but it sounds like a big lie if that was the response you got. It’s maddening!
I have no excuse! With my new tv I don’t even need an extra device, there’s software already built in so I can just tell it which streaming services I subscribe to!
All the special deals they told me about were not at all special, and cost more money!
