We go through a lot of weewee pads at the animal hospital where I work, and we are always being asked to conserve them as much as we can because we spend a lot of them. So when I came across a street strewn with them, and unused as they appeared, I almost gasped. I guess I would have gasped even more had they been used, now that I think of it.

I gotta know–did you stop and collect them for use at the animal hospital? Or would they not work or be allowed once they’ve hit the ground?
Ha, no! Yeah, we would never use them. Who knows what I might be bringing into the hospital.
Yeah, I figured. You have to be careful about contamination. It just crushes me to see perfectly good stuff wasted though.
