Sorry for the shakey-cam. It’s hard to walk and film without some shaking.
Happy holidays Citizen Reader, and thank you!

A blog about New York City, my books, and my cats. Mostly.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I love it. Surely the best holiday present I will receive this year–thank you thank you! Not least for learning how “Helene” is pronounced.
I am beyond touched. Thank you so much.
Great tour. I could almost envision the horses and carriages that once clopped along these streets.
What a TREAT!!! My mother bought me 84 Charing Cross Road when I was 16, I still have it. When I was 32, I went to London for the first time and I went to 84 Charing Cross Road to see it. This was in 1985. It was a music store then, but copies of her book were displayed in the windows. I love all her books! She was an interesting lady, a lot like you!!
Citizen Reader, I’m so glad you like it!! I loved loved loved the books.
Thank you Michael, thank you Carol. I love how everyone loves Helene (and thank you for the compliment!)
I know little of the author, and still enjoyed the walkaround. Seeing the urban landscape of NYC is always interesting. Thanks!
I’d like to do more of these, it was fun.
Merry Christmas to you! That was a fun little walk. The last time I was in NYC was August 2000. The last time I was in London and walked down Charing Cross Road was in 1996. I ought to get out more!
I almost never leave New York, I barely leave my neighborhood. But I had fun making that, I’d like to make others.
