I believe these are the same horses that were so gentle with the greyhound the other day. Which reminds me, now I want a greyhound. And two horses. Okay, and a box of kittens, too.

Me too! When I was a little kid, about 7, I announced to my parents that I was leaving home because I wanted to live in the woods with a horse and a dog. They talked me out of it. I have since had many riding lessons and raised two dogs, but I have not run away to live in the woods.
Aren’t people in uniform on a horse just the most attractive people, by definition?
Awww. Very cute story. That sounds like one of the fun parts of being a parent. Talking your kid out of running away to live in the woods with a horse and a dog.
And yeah, about people in uniform on horses. They must clomp clomp clomp down the streets, just gathering phone numbers.
