The Mighty Nissequogue River

I went kayaking yesterday with my friend Kevin on the mighty Nissequogue River. Okay, not so mighty. Pretty sedate. I didn’t want to bring my camera because I’m clumsy and I knew my camera would invariably go straight into the river. I used to own a pair of diamond stud earrings, for instance. Where are they? I know not. Dropped them and lost them. Note to everyone who knows me, except you probably already know: never buy me anything expensive.

So I only took a couple of pictures of the starting point of our trip, then I put my camera in the car. But it was a lovely trip. Plus, I’m only the tiniest tiniest bit sore today, so I feel strong and robust and INVINCIBLE.

Update: My friend Kevin sent me a shot he took out on the river! I added it below, it’s the third one down.

  1. I hope you get around to it! It’s so worthwhile. My advice would be: take your time. Enjoy a slow, lazy, trip. I tend to make a competition out of everything I do which sometimes take the fun out of things and makes them like work.
