I’ve been putting off buying a new battery for my camera because they are so expensive ($50), but the two batteries I have now are now down to holding their charge for about 1/2 hour before dying. Just before a great photo opportunity. There was no way I was going to march without being able to document it.
I’m just so excited for Saturday. As I tweeted, I need that undeniable reminder that not only am I not alone, Iām in the majority. Most of America is appalled at this utter clown who is about to become the president. I still can’t believe it. Seriously. I also must admit I’ve been paralyzed since the election and I’m counting on the march to give me the energy for the fight ahead.
Anytime I can get a cat in the shot I will. Finney with my new battery.
I hope you are energized too. Depression robs me of energy and I need to find things to kick start me when I get that way. Lassitude. Isn’t that a great word? That’s what we are feeling about a bully being in charge. We can imagine bullies on a smaller scale but this is writ large and is hard to fathom.
Sweet cat face.
So excited for you too and hope to see some of your pictures! I’ll be there in spirit. It should be an experience you will always remember, so be happy kiddo. š
Lassitude is a great word, I agree.
I’m reading people warning us to bring masks against pepper spray! Ugh. I could bring my swimming mask. But I’ve decided I’m not going with a bag of any kind, so I don’t know where I’d put it.
Maybe bring a large cotton handkerchief square that you can dampen and tie over your face? Good luck! Run away if you see danger!
Of course it ended up being as peaceful as it could possibly be, and all the police I saw were very nice, and respectful. It was such a great day all around.
