I have a book coming out in May, and I have to figure out what I’m going to wear for all the wonderful events my publicist is lining up (thank you, Jackie!). I think I can get away with buying a few tops. If they’re cute enough I can throw them on over a pair of jeans, put on a glittery necklace, and I’m good to go. Right? I’m going to wait until the end of April to shop.
I loved this dress in the window of Cynthia Rowley’s store on Bleecker. I don’t want it for my book events, I don’t want to own it, I just appreciate it.
I have pre-ordered your wonderful new book on Amazon (don’t hate me, Amazon and all). I think this book is going to be one of those hot cross-genre titles because the subject matter is so compelling that every blasé print reviewer will grab it so they can write about something meaty and juicy and humane. I’m sure your sane and kind voice will permeate this horrible subject matter so that your readers will feel that, as bad as the historical records gets, you will be there to guide us through the worst bits, to the humanity and benevolence that gives us hope that maybe we have become a less crappy species, even in the time of der Drumpf.
Thank you so much for pre-ordering my book!! And thank you for your words of encouragement!!
I honestly don’t know that there’s a lot of hope in my book though. You can tell me!
