This is out in the hall right now!!

Poor monster moth. Tomorrow I’m getting an MRI for my hurt arm. I’ve never done this before. They always make MRIs look so scary on TV, and everytime I think, ‘but that doesn’t look particularly scary.’ Tomorrow I will know firsthand. Scary or no?

  1. The only memory of the MRI procedure that I have was for the need to remain still. Not an easy thing for some of us to do. Otherwise, not a big deal.

  2. I had one a few years ago, and due to an error on the “work order” I was given a full body scan that took over 2 hours! Lesson learned when dealing with hospitals – have them confirm what they think they are supposed to be scanning. It wasn’t scary at all.

  3. Okay, here’s my two cents: If you read this in time. If it is not an open MRI, don’t do the headphones, do the ear plugs and keep your eyes closed the entire time. I’ve had too many and one time I thought, hey yeah, I’d like to listen to music on the head phones. They were crooked on my head, the radio was in between stations and then came the MRI noises. That was crazy!

    Good luck.

I don’t know if you remember me, the girl with no family and a million problems. Well, here’s my latest: I having 26 year old implants removed Tuesday morning, hoping it may relieve some of this chronic, crazy pain. So my new motto is “flat is back.” I didn’t have anything and I got the very smallest that existed, so no one ever suspected. I told the surgeon I want to see what they look like so I can tell other women. Just wanted to share this with you because you have such a fabulous sense of humor.

  4. Good luck on your MRI – hope all comes out well for you – Let me know how you do.

  5. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and the well wishes!

Jeez Deb, I’m sorry you’ve had to have so many, and the pain and the thing. The world really isn’t fair.
