And one bird.  I’m describing something for this proposal I’m working on and I’d like to identify at least a few of these plants.  I can’t believe how few growing things I can name.  Dogwoods and gingkos, that’s about it. I even think that some of these are the same type of plant over and over. Thank you in advance!

And this bird.

It’s been out there ignored for so long it has sprouted plant life.

My book presentation that was originally scheduled for this Sunday, June 28, had to be rescheduled for Sunday, September 27, due to an emergency re-wiring of the theatre where the presentation will take place.

I hope people can make the new date!

Meanwhile it’s Monday.

I think I might go to a Mozart Requiem sing at St. Luke’s tonight.

Oh!  That reminds me, they are shooting a movie called Date Night on Hudson Street near me tonight.  I just googled it, it stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey.  I love them!!  We’ll see if I make it to the Requiem.

I’ve been obsessively following what’s happening in Iran, but I took a break, put Gigi on, and cropped and tinkered with some pictures I took over the past two days. Now I’m going to watch Eraserhead.  Or read.  But here are a few pictures from my aimless weekend.

Someone scattered rose petals in someone else’s doorway.  (Jealous!)

A pretty thing I noticed on the side of a building.  (Not so jealous, I get to enjoy it too.)

Awww.  Cute little protector Lulu.  (Jealous again.)

Love the flowers, love the flower pot.  (Back to my shared-pleasure-not-jealous position.)

A crowd looking at puppies in the window.  (Mixed feelings.  Cute puppies, but puppy mills!  Very bad.  Evil.)

I love the colors.  I need a table, right?  Or a bench.  (Longing.)

These are children’s chairs, so I don’t long for them per se.  Just something in these colors.

It looks like a dogwood/four leaf clover kind of thing.  Pretty, though, whatever it is.
