Buddy Kicking Back

I’m starving all of a sudden. I’m heating up Thanksgiving leftovers, and since I’m a vegetarian that means a bunch of sides. Plus garlic bread which I have officially pronounced an valid Thanksgiving side dish.

10 hours later: I got distracted from finishing my post. Now I’m starting to think about dinner. PIZZA.

This is Buddy.

Posing.

He knows I love when he does that.

Oh dear, I have to fill up this post and I want to get to the couch myself and curl up.

I have books to read and holiday tv to watch.

There’s a new Hallmark movie on tonight. Yes. I watch (and enjoy) Hallmark movies.

I know!

Be glad you don’t hang out with me!

Cocteau’s Beauty and the Beast

I seem to keep coming back to this movie. I saw a necklace which was just like the necklace from this movie, and I forgot to grab it to illustrate the comparison and now I forgot where I saw it. But the designer was basically copying this necklace which I have always loved. This is not a great picture of it, because that strand of pearls is drawn tight and she wears it differently at other times in the movie, the pearls are not pulled so tight.

I am so wonderfully caught up on so many things I’m feeling quite free right now. Plus, next week is concert week!!

Graves on Thanksgiving

graves
I also passed by the old St. Patrick’s church on my way home last night and took pictures of the graves of people who will never enjoy another Thanksgiving again.

So, I have to head out there to buy a coffee maker. I am positively dreading what it’s going to be like at Bed Bath and Beyond, God help me, saints preserve us, etc.

But I am happy happy happy because I sent in a revised book proposal to my agent, and until she gets back to me everything is all hope and possibility. I don’t have to think about the possibility that she might think it’s not sellable.

After the horror of Bed Bath and Beyond I am going to curl up with Willa Cather’s O Pioneers! And eat pumpkin pie. While snuggling with cats. Who will try to get some pie. And bite me, probably.

But maybe I will work on another big project I’m working on but can’t talk about yet.

Walking Home on Thanksgiving

And looking uptown on Broadway (from Bleecker). God I love my town. Isn’t it gorgeous?? All the Christmas decorations are up. Oh and you can kinda see Grace Church in this shot! That’s where I sing. It’s down and to the right of the Chrysler Building (which is 30 blocks uptown from it).

Thanks for the Thanksgiving dinner, Sandy!
