It doesn’t feel extremely blizzardy, but it was enough to be fun and exciting. Not a lot of people out there, but there were others like me who wanted to explore, and a few who were still getting supplies or heading to the few bars and restaurants that were open, and there were plenty of places open.
The first people I saw were a couple of snow shovelers.

There was one father and son in the playground.

And one woman trying to give a couple of girls an urban toboggan experience, which made them scream with joy of course.

As usual, I was drawn to people walking their dogs in the snow. Here a couple are getting two dogs bundled up and ready.

This was out on the river (the Hudson River). Very idyllic. Looks like a painting.

A woman crossing Hudson Street with her dog. Also looks like a painting.

In an actual dog park. The dog: What? You want me to play in this, pee in this, what?? The people: Yes. Do it. Hurry.

There’s a ban on all traffic except emergency vehicles, and yet, I heard a scream, turned and saw people squealing with delight because they just caught a cab.
