I never learned to ski. So many people I knew growing up on Long Island were skiers. The one time I signed up for a ski trip to learn how I over-slept and missed the bus. My heart wasn’t really in it. Plus, at that age I hated getting up early with a passion that knew no bounds. Now I love it. The very early morning is my favorite time of day.
I've written six non-fiction books, the most recent is Damnation Island: Poor, Sick, Mad, and Criminal in 19th-Century New York.View all posts by Stacy Horn →
