Can we officially call it a day?

I can’t really seem to get any more work done today.  I transcribed my notes from my trips to the Municipal Archives and the library this week, updated my Unbelievable blog (hadn’t added a post in almost a week) exercised, and now I don’t feel like doing anything any more.  I should run out and have my kitty litterbox V.2 made.  Or buy kitty litter for that matter.

To Philip on SYTYCD: I love you and what you do and that was a very sweet, gracious goodbye speech.

To BB11 Producers: Jesse??  JESSE??  Do you hate your audience or something??

(I looked up and saw this guy way way way up on a building downtown, on my way home from the Municipal Archives.)

Days Gone By

One of the things I love about going to the Municipal Archives is walking by the clock for the former newspaper The Sun. Although it’s sad.  And getting sadder given the current state of things with newspapers.  Oh I wish someone would hurry up and invent a time machine.

Is anyone watching The Bachelorette?

How on earth is acting like a total dick on national tv good for records sales?? I’m thinking he doesn’t even have a manager, that this was all his idea. I mean he was just such a total, relentless dick. This is not going to translate into sales.

Anyway. I’m thinking the extreme balloon close-up didn’t really work. They looked better from afar.

Yesterday was a good day except I was reading the case files from a 1920 murder of a 17 year old girl.  There were letters in the file between her and a young man in Connecticut that were miserably upsetting.  Here she was, being a 17 year old, all happy and excited, still quite child-like but trying to act grown-up and sophisticated, and to know that she never got to grow up.  Ugh.  I also felt bad for the young man who had a huge crush on her.  The police of course contacted him, but ruled him out immediately.  Imagine developing a crush on this girl you met from the city, having the kind of dreams he probably had and then to get a call from the police that she has been murdered.  To learn so young how horrible the world can be.

I wonder what the rest of his life was like?  (I will of course try to find out.)

I was up and out early!

Practically at the crack of dawn! It was a good day of research. I’m very tired, so I’m going to curl up on the couch and watch tv.

These balloons floated by the other night. I guess it’s still day, but it was around this hour, as the sun was beginning to set. So pretty. They don’t look real, do they?
