Why is my neighborhood so flammable?

Walking home just now there were fire engines on Bleecker at Perry, but it feels like they’re in the neighborhood every day, several times a day.  Oh wait.  Maybe I just have careless neighbors.  Uh-oh.

I plan to live-blog the inauguration tomorrow.  I’m so happy.  I also plan to cry.

  1. There was a great quote (I don’t now who said it) on the cover of Newsday today – “Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk. Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run. Obama ran so we can all fly.” I thought you might enjoy this as much as I did.
