by I watched this scene from Glee repeatedly last night. And the opening when Kirk did it. And I teared up with that last scene with Kirk and his dad.
If you haven’t seen this, hang in there until the football players dance. I don’t know if it will be as moving if you haven’t seen all that led up to it, but man was it great.

I keep seeing Glee advertised but haven’t watched it yet. The clip was great. Did you hear E.L. Doctorow interviewed on Diane Rehm yesterday about his book “Homer and Langley”? I had never heard of the Collyer brothers until you wrote about them here sometime last year, so thanks for educating me!
Loved this whole scene, although I must admit I got a real charge out of “nice Star Wars sheets” as well. AND the player from the other team dancing along, perfect.
