Not at all Breaking News

I’m sitting here, literally trying not to freak out about a half a million things and I read this headline on health.com:

10 Careers With High Rates of Depression

“Artists, entertainers, writers. These jobs can bring irregular paychecks, uncertain hours, and isolation.” A-freaking-men, they do. Why couldn’t I have really wanted to be a dentist??

  1. do creative pursuits lead to depression or do depressive types tend to gravitate toward creative pursuits ?

  2. Good question. A therapist I had once said some of her clients didn’t want to change because they thought they wouldn’t be able to create art anymore. I was not one of these!

    Karen, ha!

  3. Stacy, where is this tree? It is beautiful!
Two reasons for your remaining a wonderful writer:
    1. You entertain/inform all of us
    and
    2. Buddy and Finney don’t want to be hygenists!

  4. This tree was in the 50’s on the east side. I was marveling because I have never seen this building before. It’s probably been there for decades but somehow I’ve manage to not walk down this block for decades.

And thank you for the compliment!
