The little girl, a future engineer, is curious about the machine which will wrap the tree (although she is momentarily distracted by me). Her brothers are more intent on killing each other. The tree wrapper is thinking, “Wait, what? Should I intervene?” The parents are all, “NO. Just let them kill each other.” Kidding!

LOVE the picture. I agree with your other commenter (Lisa M.) that your pictures of NYC and environs are wonderful. You should start a Kickstarter project to publish a book of photos–I’d contribute!
I’m sure the parents have done all they can to stop the little boys from killing each other, but you’re right, they’re probably just glad they’re outside and won’t break anything in the house for a change. (She says, with two little boys in her house, who never ever listen when she yells “stop tackling each other!)
I was a little fearful about the “future engineer” getting sucked into the tree wrapper!
(I realize it works in the reverse direction, but she looks so vulnerable next to that machine.)
And the boys, yes, reminded me of my own two-always scrapping over something. Dad should have said, “Get ready boys. When it comes out wrapped, it will have magical powers you never imagined, and you’re selected to carry it home.”
Or something like that.
I agree with Citizen Reader and Lisa M.about the Kickstarter concept, though I know you have something more imminent pending. Yay!
Chris! How did the visit with Adrienne go?? How are you guys doing? (PS: I have no idea how those tree wrappers work.)
I grew up with two brothers so … it was a familiar site. Stay strong! They’ll stop. In a decade or so. Ha!
