Why does this building appeal to me??

It’s not in great shape, but when I walked by I thought, “I’d like to live in the top two floors.”

I've written six non-fiction books, the most recent is Damnation Island: Poor, Sick, Mad, and Criminal in 19th-Century New York.

At first, I’d like to live in the top two floors, too. But after a second look, I’d be afraid the roof would collapse on me when I was sleeping! I bet it was a beauty back in the day.
