Until the Tardis Arrives, The Best Halloween Decorations in the Village

The Tardis has not appeared, and I walked by the buildings that usually have the best decorations and they are not up yet! This weekend would have been the weekend to put them out, so I’m a little worried. But if I’m remembering correctly, the Tardis usually crashes only a few days before Halloween.

This building is one of my favorites though, and it was decorated, so yay! (They are always my favorite building at Christmas as well.) This is the long shot, but what makes this one the best is …

This little guy. I love the stick.

I love how they made this ghost look like it’s singing. Don’t you just love people?? (I’m using the word “love” a little too much, I see.)

The birds. Which I watched on tv the other day. Rod Taylor is quite handsome. Okay, I’m saying it: I love him. Oh wow, he’s still alive! And he lives in New York City!! I could be passing him by every day. Hello Rod Taylor!

  1. The dog with the stick is so clever!

I visited Bodega Bay in 2009!

Speaking of birds, I wanted to post a cute cartoon of a passive-aggressive raven but I guess I can’t do attachments in comments. You can find it here:

I went to the artist’s own site but couldn’t find it after scrolling through a dozen or more pages. Phew.

I like Rod Taylor too. He is roughly the same age as my parents were. I even watched the one season of the tv show “Outlaws”! (1986-7) Check it out on IMDB. Not that it was the same calibre (no pun intended) as “Firefly” but it too was only on for 12 episodes.

  2. Julia, did you take pictures of Bodega Bay??? Let’s see them!! Please!! I loved the passive aggressive raven, thanks for finding the link. And I’m keeping my eye for an older Rod Taylor.

And thank you Nora and Karen. I’m not going to drum in the Halloween Parade this year, and I’m going to walk around taking pictures instead.
