I went for a long walk yesterday and came across yet another building that had collapsed (partially this time) at 34th and 3rd. There were no injuries, but I just read that a couple of hours later there was a scaffold collapse on 36th! Horribly, someone died in this accident.
As I moved in closer at the 34th Street accident I saw that they were using a drone to assess the damage.
With all the stuff going on in New York, I wouldn’t want to call New York City my home.
There’s much much much more good than bad. We will work out the bad.
I have so many questions about this.
Was it just an empty building, and if so/if not, what would have caused that kind of collapse? Does this happen a lot?
I chuckled at the first comments. Yeah, I think I’d still like to live in NYC, even with everything going on. A city like no other, even though there’s a lot of beautiful cities out there.
It was empty at the time of the collapse, that’s all I know. It doesn’t happen a lot, but there have been a couple on recent memory, one very recent. It’s terrifying.
