What’s your temp gig like?

I love this temp job. The Association for Mechanical Engineering is launching a new website, so it’s going through thousands of pages, seeing what problems occur, and doing thousands of searches, and trying to buy products, etc. But the people are so nice, and I like my fellow temp workers. It’s just been a great gig.

I used to work at a temp agency years ago.
I’ve been thinking of signing up, but I fear I don’t have the skills a lot of jobs need. Lacking in Excel experience for one.
Did you go through an agency for your gig?
No, I didn’t go through and agency and other people who were doing were saying how much better it is not to deal with an agency. But I know exactly what you mean — I looked at a few temp agency websites and I don’t have the skills they all want.
