Every day I have an extremely healthy salad for lunch (I fill it with greens, broccoli, carrots, tofu, etc.) and at night I have a small size Amy’s frozen pizza. It rarely changes.
When I tell friends they look at me like “what a sad, unimaginative, losing-out-on-the-good-life” friend we have. Turns out, I’m not the only one.
I would also spend all my time researching and writing books, if I could. And watching television and going to the movies. And the Losers Lounge. And choir. And reading in the park or on the couch. The occasional museum visit. Okay, how I spend my time is a little more varied than my eating habits, but not by much.

Okay I read the article and found it so interesting about something I had never really thought about. When I was younger I would bring a sandwich every day for lunch and then use the rest of my lunch hour walking or playing dominoes or whatever. Anyway, nowadays people seem to scatter for lunch at a restaurant or a fast food place. I think the variety may lead to obesity problem here. Whereas, eating the same food each day (especially the healthy salads for lunch) is a nice way to lose a few pounds. It’s economical too as we do not need to stock the pantry with various types of foods. I’m going back to this way of eating and see if I can lose that 10 pounds I’ve put on in the last year.
Good luck!! My lunch salads are delicious. I put in lots of scallions, which makes everything taste great.
