Hello??

From Today’s New York Times:

Gospel of Judas’ Surfaces After 1,700 Years
By JOHN NOBLE WILFORD and LAURIE GOODSTEIN
Published: April 6, 2006

In this version, Jesus asked Judas, as a close friend, to sell him out to the authorities, telling Judas he will “exceed” the other disciples by doing so.

Hello?? It’s Judas, remember? Of course he’d say that. Yeah. “Jesus made me do it.”

  1. As someone was quoted in the Times…at least it wasn’t found in a Vatican bank vault.

I don’t think we need to be too concerned about what effect his migh have on the Christmas music repertoire.

Sorry you’re feeling blue. Sometimes, feelings are like the weather. If we just wait, it passes, for no good reason.

  2. “Was wollt ihr mir geben? Ich will ihn euch verraten. (Because Jesus made me.)”

    From St. Matthew’s Passion.

  3. Uh oh. Might have been mistaken. Rewrite time for Bach and Handel.

Anyway, hope the blues have passed.
