Still Live Blogging!

12:13pm.  I loved how Obama started taking the oath before Roberts was finished. He couldn’t wait! Then they both started flubbing their lines!

Listening to his speech. Bring it home Mr. President.

“We will restore science to its rightful place.”  Woo-hoo! (And the arts? Don’t forget us, please.)

That’s Buddy watching with me, by the way.

Ah, I like this part about the choice between our safety and our ideals.  “Our power alone does not protect us.  Nor does it allow us to do as we please.”

12:26pm.  Oh.  Check it out and be ready to tear up for the billionth time.  The new Whitehouse page.

12:28pm.  Haha.  Someone on Facebook posted, Will President Obama end his speech by pointing to Bush and Cheney and say “Now, arrest those two”?

12:29pm.  You know how NPR reporters always talk in NPR voice?  Poets always read poems in the exact same way.  She’s talking in poet voice.

12:40pm.  Sigh.  so, what happens now?    Any other planned events?

12:50pm.  I just learned it was Roberts who flubbed the lines, not Obama, who someone said he looked like he was going to chuckle.  When’s the parade?!

12:57pm.  I want to be President!  I actually quickly thought it through, if I had lived my life differently, and even if I had, I would not have won. I would have lost to Obama, and I would have lost to Bush before that … so, I can live on without regret.

1:04pm.  But maybe Obama will give me a job.
