I ordered three of the stackable bins from an office supply store—three was the minimum order—and then agonized that I went with the most expensive solution.
Then a friend was like, “And why wasn’t a covered box a good solution?” And the reasons for not giving that a try (too big for the bathroom, cats don’t seem to like anything encroaching on their litter space) suddenly seemed lame. So then I agonized about the fact that I had already bought one but gave it away.
But then, as I was leaving the house I saw that my neighbors still had it out in the hallway so I explained the situation and asked if they wouldn’t mind if I took it back (they weren’t using it) and so now I’m giving this a try. The stackable bins are still on the way, but maybe this will work.
Well, if the cats don’t kill you in your sleep because of this 🙂 and actually use the box, you can always cut a little away so it fits in there better as originally suggested.
I like the perspective of this shot, with a kitty heading towards it… to check it out, I’m sure…
you could always build a step or two into it for the boys (that’s what I did when my youngest was a kitten– very cute to watch him tumble out of there)
But you should also be able to cut it lower (make sure to trim the cut side so no ouchies occur)
So far so good!
Good to hear!
I was starting to wonder if it was part of their evil plot to slowly drive you insane. Nice job foiling their schemes 🙂
