A Lovely Day

There are always birds waiting for me each morning. Sometimes I think I’ll stop feeding the them and save myself a little money. But what …

… would I saw to this guy? That’s a vulture, right? Seriously, what is this? A very big starling?

  1. Crows do watch people. They are smart. I “rescued” one once and held it in my hands and it was pretty big! I could feel its breastbone under my fingers and it scolded me the whole time I was hanging onto it. But it was still smaller than a supermarket chicken – it probably only weighed a pound or so. It was just so much bigger than a chickadee, say.

Here’s a good site for some bird calls:

Not the crow – it’s too obvious, I guess.
