Christmas Windows

This is a detail from a more old fashioned Christmas window type decoration. Those skiers and that ski lift are mechanical and they are in constant movement.

I have some things I need to shoot uptown tomorrow. Maybe I will walk up 5th Avenue and take pictures of all the elaborate windows I pass by. I just remembered that Barney’s always had great Christmas windows (they used to be right nearby me, now they’re uptown so I haven’t seen their windows in a while). I forget where they are exactly, I wonder if they will be on my way?

  1. I would love to see some of those Stacey. When we visited NY with our two young kids in 2004 they were so excited by the window displays. They were magical. We did all the tourist things – Empire State, Statue of Liberty, Christmas dinner at The Waldorf, walk through a snowy Central Park. And we still talk about the window displays on 5th Avenue. We might get back in 2014 but the cost of flying to NY for 4 is too high.

  2. I took pictures yesterday, but I did not pass by one window that I loved. It was not a banner year for windows, it seems. But I’ll post some pictures tomorrow.

I’m sorry it’s too expensive to come here!
